Supernatural Hunter Rules
1. Roleplay Guidelines
Adherence to Lore: Hunters should base their knowledge and actions on in-server lore. No metagaming or using out-of-character knowledge to gain an advantage.
Supernatural Awareness: Hunters must roleplay learning about the supernatural through credible in-character (IC) experiences, rumors, or research. You cannot start with complete knowledge of every creature.
Human Limitations: Hunters are still mortal. They can’t survive fatal injuries or perform superhuman feats without justification (e.g., magic relics).
2. Hunting Protocol
Research Before Action: Hunters must collect evidence IC (clues, sightings, lore, etc.) before initiating a hunt.
Preparation is Key: Use realistic and lore-appropriate tools (e.g., salt, silver bullets, holy symbols) based on the creature you're hunting. Carrying these items must be roleplayed and justified.
Fair Engagements: When confronting supernatural beings, give the opposing player a chance to respond or escape. Avoid powergaming by forcing outcomes.
3. Behavior in Society
Secrecy: Supernatural hunters operate in the shadows. Do not openly discuss the supernatural with civilians unless they’ve witnessed something firsthand.
Law and Order: Hunters must respect local laws and avoid wanton destruction or unnecessary violence. Actions that draw undue attention could result in consequences from the law or other players.
Consequences: Missteps in hunting (e.g., killing innocents, wrong targets) can result in IC consequences like bounty hunters, rival groups, or supernatural retaliation.
4. Collaboration
Hunter Networks: You may form or join hunter factions, but these must be approved by server staff and aligned with the lore.
Allies and Rivals: Supernatural hunters can work with or oppose other groups, such as outlaws, lawmen, or supernatural beings, as long as the interactions follow server rules and lore.
